"Kat and Koi" by Diana Fritch

Diana Fritch, a well known West Coast Illustrator, graduated from the Arts Institute of California. Her narrative humerous works have appeared in numerous national and local publications. She has been exhibited at Calle Court in Monterey, CA; The Society of Illustrators, LA; Murray Feldman Gallery and The Pacific Design Center, LA.

For a time, Diana lived in a Northern California house complete with an indoor Koi pond. She soon discovered that the Koi loved to play and cavort in their pond where they set Olympic jumping records. Diana says, "Koi are fascinating and hypnotic to watch and so entertaining as they glide through the water." Apparently her two cats were fascinated as well by the Koi. Diana relates, "The cats would spend hours by the pond hence the inspiration for "Kat and Koi."
